Hans P. Bjerke

Partner

Hans P. Bjerke is an experienced attorney with significant international experience. He has a Master of Law degree from the University of Oslo and a Master of Laws in Admiralty from Tulane Law School in New Orleans, USA.

Bjerke works as advisor and litigator within a wide range of cases with emphasis on business law mainly related to securities trading, corporate law, and shipping. He assists in contract negotiations, settlement negotiations as well as litigation of cases in court- and arbitration proceedings. He is also representing clients in relation to public authorities.

Bjerke was research assistant at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology, and at the Nordic Institute of Maritime Law at the University of Oslo, before working as a lawyer in several law firms. He was partner in DLA Nordic from 2006 and from 2008 in Gram, Hambro & Garman.

Languages: Native Norwegian, fluent in English.

Halfdan Lowzow

Partner

Halfdan Lowzow graduated from the University of Oslo in 1984, with a Master of Law degree.

Lowzow established Bjerke Lowzow von Ahnen in July 2020
His area of practice is general business law, with focus on corporate law and financing. Lowzow advices foreign companies in legal matters related to their business in Norway. Lowzow has extensive experience in issues relating to buying, selling, and leasing aircraft, and is ranked in World's Leading Aviation Lawyers. Lowzow is the co-author of the book Shareholder Agreements.

Lowzow established the law firm Lowzow & Reed in 1987 and has since been partner in the law firms Lowzow & co, Haavind, and Gram Hambro & Garman.

Sindre Walderhaug

Partner

Sindre Walderhaug joined Bjerke Lowzow von Ahnen as partner on 1 July 2020.

He graduated from the University of Oslo in 1980, with a Master of Law degree.

Through many years he has essentially worked with shipping with an emphasis on finance and transactions. He has advised financial institutions, arrangers and shipowners in negotiation and documentation of financial agreements. He has contributed with the structuring of several large syndicated loan which has given him a broad international experience.

He now also works with a broader business law perspective with contract and corporate law. He has a special focus on environment and renewable energy, including carbon capture and storage.

Sindre Walderhaug was trainee at the maritime law firm Villeneau, Rohart, Simon in Paris, and later worked as a lawyer in the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association. From 1989 he was partner at Simonsen Vogt Wiig, and from 2016 at Gram, Hambro & Garman.

Yngve von Ahnen

Partner

Yngve von Ahnen graduated from the University of Oslo in 1985, with a Master of Law degree. He was granted a lawyer's license in 1987 and admitted to supreme court in 2006.

Yngve von Ahnen established Bjerke Lowzow von Ahnen in July 2020.

Von Ahnen has many years of experience as an adviser to several large nationwide chains, especially in the service sector and retail trade. He has assisted in the establishment and operation of chains, including the preparation of contracts such as franchise agreements, leases, and contracts in relation to employees. He has broad business legal experience and works also with company law, employment law, real estate legal conditions, building and construction law and transport law. He is admitted to the supreme court and has extensive litigation experience.

Von Ahnen has previously been employed by the law firm Flod & Flod and Gram, Hambro & Garman Advokatfirma from 1986, as a partner from 1991.
